The following post is written by the staff of Kapsack and Bair Law. The team at Kapsack and Bair understand the hesitation you may feel about hiring an experienced DUI attorney due to how much money it will cost you. You are not alone. However, if you have been arrested for a DUI in California, you have many important aspects of your life at stake. You could lose employment opportunities or not get approved for a bank loan. Daniel explains why it is necessary to hire an attorney and where your money goes to ensure that a skilled attorney gets you the best possible results.
California DUI Attorney Fees
By Hudson Bair
Just last year we wrote an article that stated defendants can find California DUI attorneys as low as $750 to as high as $30,000. With the continuing low state of the economy and reduced DUI arrest rates, the bottom of this range has actually declined even further. Today there are California attorneys in major metro areas advertising DUI representation for as low $595.
Unfortunately, though, this bottom tier of pricing provides even less service then it did last year. It seems that some of these lawyers are only offering to save defendants a trip down to the court house — not much of a bargain at any price.
Getting the best possible outcomes for defendants often requires multiple court appearances, hiring expert witnesses, extensive evidence review, going to trial and other expensive activities. In addition, court actions are just one aspect of DUI representation. A full-service DUI law firm can also assist with DMV Hearings, license reinstatement, and satisfying penalty requirements.
Kapsack and Bair remain committed to full-service California DUI representation. Our main Oakland DUI office is fully staffed to assist with all aspects of DUI representation, and we also able to meet with clients in San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento.
